ABOUT US 
Jonel Orellana - Director
Jonel has been acting since the age of 4 with small roles in local productions. Her love of the Theater at an early age gave Jonel encouragement to begin studying theater. At Age 7 she was accepted into the The Theater Learning Program managed and taught by Bob Calderon and Maxine Fields. She studyed there until the age of 17, when she was then accepted into the Lee Starsburg Studio. Upon Graduating Nassau Community College with an associates in Theater, Jonel began studying at Weist Barron under the tutelage of David Triacca. Jonel had worked on such Productions as "The Night Before January 16th" and on HBO's "OZ".
Upon Graduating Berkley with a degree in accounting, Jonel happily gave up perusing acting for a more dangerous path...motherhood! In 2004, she married her longtime sweetheart and immediately planned for a family. In Dec 2005, Angelina was born. Angelina's First Pageant was in May 2009. Although she did not win any titles her first time around, the love of pageants came about. As a mom, Jonel, believes pageantry is an amazing experience to bond with your child. Pageantry gives children, teens and adults confidence, the courage of public speaking and the ability to think quickly on one's feet. These tools can be used to improve the development of a person, and are invaluable and priceless. Pageantry is much more than pretty dresses and shoes, it's the commitment to follow through on an adventure, and see it completed. Lifelong friendships come out of these contestants that compete against each other. Pageantry to Jonellyn is a true joy.
Jonel currently teaches Musical Theater to children ages 3 and up and also provides private lessons to many actors, dancers and performers.
Maria De Santis - Director
Owner and Agent of Xist Model & Talent - Montclair, New Jersey
Although her days are spent booking and guiding young performers, Maria started in the business in 1991 as an actor in independent films. Trained in New York City at American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Weist Barron and at New Jersey's Papermill Playhouse Conservatory.
Xist, a boutique talent agency, was formed in 2005. Since then, Xist has become the go-to Agency for NYC Casting Directors, Producers and Creative Photographers. With a large base of talented youngsters ages 4-17, Xist is also the only Agency on the East Coast boasting an exclusive Extras Performers Division, handling background and non-speaking roles for performers ages 3-25. With an astounding roster of past and present projects, and a terrific staff, Xist is always generating positive buzz and vibes.
Maria also co-owns Commercial/Show Hip Hop dance team, T.R.U.E. ( www.facebook.com/TrueEnt ), and represents Gia Giudice, daughter of Real Hosuewives of New Jersey star and Author, Teresa Giudice. With a newly-formed powerhouse Production and Management Company, Stellar One Entertainment, which works with young Artists in music, dance, reality television and concerts, Maria is always working on large projects with top industry professionals, in addition to running the Agency.
With a demonstrated passion for talented kids and a natural love for the pageant world, Maria is thrilled to be able to combine these two forces to present the next level of pageants and bring amaxzing opportunities to its Competitors.
